REGRET IS YOUR ENEMY (Part 3).

In the concluding part of this topic, I want to remind us that regret is a dangerous foe. According to Apostle Paul in Philippians 3:13-14 “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” The implications of this statement is that the past has a lot that had happened in it. These maybe palatable or not, but if you must move forward you must forget the past and not considered it in your future. Whatever you concentrate on long enough you become soon enough. Don’t concentrate on your past so that you don’t empower it against your future. But if you keep thinking ahead, you empower your future.

Regret saps your energy, makes you keep looking backwards and nobody moves forward looking backwards. Regret weakens you. That feeling, that emotion, that bad thoughts, that depression, that wondering in your past is called regret and it is your enemy. Whenever you remember something bad about your past, thank God for it. Whatever didn’t kill you made you stronger. Whatever didn’t destroy you, God can still use it for your good.

David made a mistake, but through it God produced Solomon; the wisest and richest man ever and he blessed the world with a lot of wisdom. Joseph made mistake of telling his brothers his dream, but that mistake made them to sell him to Egypt where he became a ruler.

Whatever mistakes you have made in the past will be the reason why you succeed. Don’t entertain regret.

You are actually where your mind is. Whether in past, present or future. If you think about the past you go back into it and can awake the emotions that would keep you backwards. This is why people even start crying just by thinking about the past because they have gone back to it through their minds. Thinking about the past is powerful. It means literally going back to it. The thought can make you happy and if it is a bad memory can make you sad. If u imagine a beautiful future u can go in there and be happy. Instead of thinking about the bad past, engage your mind on a rewarding future.

Regret is a negative emotions.

Thank you.
